High-resolution architectural model of  a Cathedral highlighting structural termite damage.

Cathedral Architectural Model

Project Overview

This project involved creating a highly detailed architectural model of a cathedral structure for use in a legal case related to termite damage within the building’s wood roof and framing systems. The model was commissioned by Ribbeck Construction to support clear visual communication of structural conditions during court proceedings.

Both digital and physical models were produced to ensure the information could be presented accurately and effectively in formal review and legal contexts.

Process & Development

The cathedral was modeled based on architectural references and structural information provided by the client. Particular attention was given to the roof system and internal wood framing, where termite damage had occurred. These elements were modeled to clearly illustrate the location and extent of the affected areas while maintaining architectural accuracy.

The digital model was optimized for clarity, scale accuracy, and physical fabrication. A corresponding physical model was produced to allow for hands-on presentation and clear spatial understanding during legal review.

The focus throughout the process was on precision, legibility, and neutrality, ensuring the model could function as an objective visual aid within a courtroom setting.
